The Board of Investment (BOI) of Thailand has approved four new data center projects with a total investment of 100 billion Baht (over $3.1 billion USD).<\/strong><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n

NextGen Data Center and Cloud Services, a subsidiary of Dubai-based data center provider DAMAC Digital, will build the first facility. This 84 MW data center, valued at $826.42 million USD, will be located at Navanakorn Industrial Estate in Pathum Thani Province.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remaining two investors, Telehouse (Thailand) and Vistas Technology, will build their respective facilities in Huai Khwang District, Bangkok, and Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate, Chonburi Province.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Telehouse, a subsidiary of Japan\u2019s KDDI Group, has committed $233.64 million USD to build a 12 MW data center next to its existing Bangkok facility.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vistas Technology, a subsidiary of China-based ZDATA Technologies, has allocated $306.39 million USD for its 80 MW data center. This is the second BOI-approved data center project for Vistas Technology.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the BOI has granted six licenses to launch other data center projects valued at $9.2 billion USD, which had been delayed due to electricity supply, industrial land access, and visa\/work permit issues.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thailand is striving to become a digital infrastructure hub in Southeast Asia. Over the past few years, major technology companies such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, and ByteDance have committed to investing in the country\u2019s tech infrastructure.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025 alone, the data center sector has attracted a total investment of $16.13 billion USD across 28 projects.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n
