The Board of Investment (BOI) of Thailand has approved four new data center projects with a total investment of 100 billion Baht (over $3.1 billion USD).

The remaining two investors, Telehouse (Thailand) and Vistas Technology, will build their respective facilities in Huai Khwang District, Bangkok, and Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate, Chonburi Province.
Telehouse, a subsidiary of Japan’s KDDI Group, has committed $233.64 million USD to build a 12 MW data center next to its existing Bangkok facility.
Vistas Technology, a subsidiary of China-based ZDATA Technologies, has allocated $306.39 million USD for its 80 MW data center. This is the second BOI-approved data center project for Vistas Technology.
Additionally, the BOI has granted six licenses to launch other data center projects valued at $9.2 billion USD, which had been delayed due to electricity supply, industrial land access, and visa/work permit issues.
Thailand is striving to become a digital infrastructure hub in Southeast Asia. Over the past few years, major technology companies such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, and ByteDance have committed to investing in the country’s tech infrastructure.
In 2025 alone, the data center sector has attracted a total investment of $16.13 billion USD across 28 projects.
