The Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation (KBC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Accelerated Infrastructure Capital (AIC) and VietinBank to develop a $2 billion data center project at Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park.
The signing ceremony took place on October 28 in London, UK, immediately following a meeting with international businesses and investors led by Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.

Under the agreement, the three parties will jointly develop the SGI-HCM Campus AI Data Center at Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park, Ho Chi Minh City, with a total investment of nearly $2 billion. Funding will be sourced from contributions by KBC, AIC, and partner investors.
The name SGI-HCM comes from Saigon Invest Group (SGI), a leading infrastructure and industrial park investment group in which KBC is a key member. The project spans 10 hectares, designed as a large-scale AI data center complex with 200 MW IT load capacity, capable of operating 100,000 GPUs, supporting cloud computing and AI applications in Vietnam.
The SGI-HCM Campus will be developed to international standards, emphasizing energy efficiency, information security, and sustainability, laying a foundation for the growth of digital industrial infrastructure in Vietnam. In the initial phase, the focus will be on construction and operation, with plans to expand the model to other locations nationwide in subsequent stages.
“As a member of Saigon Invest Group, KBC aims to contribute to the development of digital infrastructure in Vietnam. The data center is part of upgrading the industrial park value chain, helping Vietnam embrace new trends in production and technology,” said Dang Thanh Tam, Chairman of KBC’s Board of Directors.
Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation specializes in industrial park (IP) and urban area development. The company is known for its integrated IP-city development model and is one of the largest attractors of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam, especially in high-tech projects.
AIC, headquartered in London and Hong Kong, is a platform for investment and development of data centers and digital infrastructure, with founders who have led multiple large-scale data center projects in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, managing a total investment portfolio of over $20 billion.
With international experience in data center development and operation, AIC seeks long-term collaboration with KBC and partners to build a chain of hyperscale and neocloud data centers, serving the rapidly growing cloud computing and AI demands in the region.
According to Dang Nguyen Nam Anh, Deputy General Director of KBC, Vietnam is entering the “data and AI era”, where data centers play a critical role in digital transformation.
“KBC will work closely with partners to develop data and digital industrial infrastructure, leveraging our strengths in industrial park development and sustainable infrastructure,” Nam Anh added.
