Gartner has released its Magic Quadrant 2025 report for data center switching, in which Huawei is ranked as a “Leader.” Notably, Huawei achieved the highest position in the “Comprehensive Vision” axis.

In 2025, Huawei will continue to upgrade the data center network in the following three aspects:
Upgraded Xinghe Intelligent Fabric Solution
As AI technology develops and cloud architecture advances, data center networks are undergoing a dramatic transformation. Huawei's upgraded Xinghe Intelligent Fabric solution is built on a three-layer architecture: AI Brain, AI Connection, and AI NEs (AI Network Devices).
AI Brain: Huawei's proprietary network digital map and NetMaster large network model enable automated process deployment, integrate network security simulation, and automatically handle 80% of incidents, significantly improving operation and maintenance efficiency.
AI Connection: Innovative Network-Scale Load Balancing (NSLB) algorithm optimizes path planning, eliminates performance bottlenecks, and increases AI training efficiency by more than 10%. In addition, iReliable technology with three levels of reliability and anti-channel loss capability on optical modules ensures uninterrupted service.
AI NEs: Based on CloudEngine series switches and StarryLink optical modules, Huawei provides highly accurate traffic monitoring and intuitive tracking of packet loss and network latency.
New CloudEngine Series Switches
Huawei launched the industry's highest-density 128*800GE fixed Ethernet switch, the CloudEngine XH9330, along with the world's first 128*400GE liquid-cooled fixed switch, the CloudEngine XH9230. With industry-leading high-density ports, these switches can break through the scaling limitations of AI clusters. In addition, Huawei's exclusive iFlashboot technology enables continuous training even in the event of abnormal reboots and upgrades.
StarryLink Optical Module
At MWC 2025, Huawei introduced StarryLink optical modules for the data center networking field, with three core capabilities:
Wide Range: Huawei uses a unique optical path pairing algorithm to control and optimize signal power distribution, ensuring maximum transmission power. This helps achieve a transmission distance that is twice the industry average.
Stable: Huawei's exclusive short-range optical return loss locating technology enables loose and dirty optical links to be located in minutes, significantly faster than the industry average of three hours. In addition, the exclusive anti-channel loss technology ensures continuous training even when the connection is disconnected.
Security: PHYSEC physical layer encryption capability integrated into the optical module's oDSP ensures 100% encryption of all packets, eliminating the risk of data leakage.
Promoting the network of businesses to enter the smart digital era
Going forward, Huawei is committed to continuing to promote technical research and product innovation in the data center networking field. By expanding the CloudEngine data center switch portfolio and accelerating technological advancements, Huawei is ready to accompany enterprises as network technology evolves and build a solid infrastructure for enterprises' intelligent data transformation.
