Vietnam has just witnessed an important milestone in the telecommunications industry when DCH Telecom Construction Investment Joint Stock Company (DCH Telecom) was officially granted a telecommunications service business license No. 261/GP - BKHCN signed on June 20, 2025 by the Ministry of Science and Technology, allowing it to directly deploy and provide transmission services on fiber optic infrastructure invested and developed by DCH Telecom.

This is a strategic step, not only opening up opportunities for the development of the national digital infrastructure system but also marking the full and proactive participation of the private sector in the telecommunications sector - one of the core industries of the digital economy in the era of AI and global connectivity.
OPTICAL CABLE INFRASTRUCTURE – THE FOUNDATION FOR A NEW TELECOMMUNICATIONS ECOSYSTEM
Immediately after being licensed, DCH Telecom has promoted research on a series of strategic fiber optic cable projects, including international submarine fiber optic cable lines connecting Vietnam with international Data Hubs such as Japan, Singapore, etc., as well as planning to deploy inland transmission cable lines connecting key economic centers in the country.
This fiber optic cable system will be the backbone for a high-speed, low-latency, and secure network, paving the way for the development of data centers, AI services, cloud computing, and digital technology platforms serving not only the domestic market but also the regional and global markets.
ATTRACT NATIONAL INVESTMENT – MAKE VIETNAM A REGIONAL DATA EXCHANGE CENTER
By holding strategic transmission infrastructure and proactively providing international telecommunications services, DCH Telecom will create a strong attraction for multinational corporations, especially global technology, financial, retail companies, and international telecommunications operators….
The data centers developed by DCH Telecom and DCH Group – directly connected to the high-speed submarine cable infrastructure – will be the ideal choice for global businesses to locate servers, service operation centers, and data analysis platforms in Vietnam. This is an important condition to turn Vietnam into a digital data exchange center in the Asia-Pacific region, on par with major connection points such as Singapore and Tokyo.
AFFIRMING THE PIONEER ROLE OF THE PRIVATE ENTERPRISE SECTOR
The fact that DCH Telecom was granted a telecommunications service business license is not only the beginning of a business, but also a sign that Vietnam is gradually opening the door for the private sector to play a leading role in the field of telecommunications infrastructure and digital technology.
In the context of increasing demand for global connectivity and data becoming a strategic resource, allowing private enterprises with strong capacity to invest in telecommunications infrastructure is a breakthrough step, paving the way for profound innovations in the way Vietnam approaches technology, promotes digital transformation, and joins the global value chain.
INTEGRATED TELECOMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE – THE FOUNDATION FOR DIGITAL SOVEREIGNTY
As a link in the DCH Group ecosystem, DCH Telecom aims to develop a deeply integrated telecommunications infrastructure model, connecting directly from the data center to international fiber optic cables invested and operated by the company itself. This not only ensures the highest performance and safety for customers, but also enhances national data sovereignty, reducing dependence on international infrastructure.
With a long-term vision, DCH Telecom is gradually building its capacity to become a reliable infrastructure partner for domestic and foreign enterprises, while contributing to positioning Vietnam as a strategic, reliable and sustainable data transit point in the digital age.
