In the era of globalization and rapid digital transformation, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking (HUB) successfully hosted the First Rector Forum of Southeast Asian Universities on July 26, 2025, under the theme: “A Forum of Dialogue, Discovery, and Strategic Collaborations.”

The event brought together policymakers, educational leaders, scholars, and international partners to promote academic dialogue, explore innovation, and foster strategic partnerships in the context of digital transformation and the internationalization of higher education.
A highlight of the forum was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between HUB and DCH Technology Group, marking the beginning of a comprehensive collaboration between a leading academic institution and a pioneering technology enterprise. Representing DCH at the forum were:
- Mr. Nguyễn Trọng Toàn, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of DCH Group.
- Ms. Bùi Thanh Vân, CEO of DCH Telecom Investment & Construction JSC.

The collaboration focuses on three strategic pillars:
- Scientific Research & Technology Transfer: The two sides will coordinate to implement applied research projects in the field of green data centers, digital technology and infrastructure solutions serving the digital economy, aiming at environmentally friendly Data Center models and artificial intelligence applications.
- Consulting & Expert Support: HUB will participate in consulting on policies, legal, financial structure and capital raising strategies for DCH's technology projects, especially data centers and new generation telecommunications systems. At the same time, the two sides will coordinate to organize seminars and support research programs in the fields of AI and Blockchain.
- Brand development & communication: DCH and HUB will coordinate to promote the brand image of both units, spreading typical cooperation values between businesses and universities in the digital age.

Representing DCH Group, Ms. Bui Thanh Van spoke at the forum, sharing about the long-term cooperation vision between DCH and HUB. She emphasized: “We wish to accompany Banking University to build a modern, pioneering technology-education ecosystem in Vietnam, thereby contributing to shaping the future and developing high-quality human resources for the country.”
Speaking at the forum, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Education and Training, also affirmed: "International cooperation and university-enterprise cooperation are the key to improving the quality of training and integrating Vietnamese education into the global flow." These statements further affirm the pioneering role of HUB and DCH in connecting resources to serve sustainable development.
The relationship between HUB and DCH is a typical example of a strategic cooperation model between universities and businesses, not only aiming to improve research and training capacity but also aiming to develop practical digital technology models. The event opens up new prospects for innovative initiatives in education and digital infrastructure in Vietnam.
