Nowadays, when the digital economy and artificial intelligence become inevitable development trends, data infrastructure plays a core role in enhancing national competitiveness. Realizing that, DCH Group - a technology enterprise founded by Vietnamese in Hong Kong - has announced its investment and construction plan of Digital HUB in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, with the goal of forming a super-scale data center, meeting leading international standards.
PROJECT GOALS
Digital HUB is not simply a data storage center, but a strategic link in the national and regional digital infrastructure ecosystem. The project is oriented with 4 main functions:
Super-scale data storage, serving the large demand from domestic and foreign businesses and organizations.
International data transfer, connecting Vietnam to the global data network
Developing artificial intelligence and cloud computing, creating a technological foundation for future applications.
Disaster prevention and recovery, ensuring data security in all emergency situations.
SCALE OF INVESTMENT INFRASTRUCTURE
Total investment capital: 32,000 – 35,000 billion VND (~1.2 billion USD)
Total design capacity: 100MW, equivalent to 6,000 rack cabinets
Land size: 100ha
Implementation period: 2025 – 2028 (construction), 2028 – 2050 (50-year operation)
The center is built according to TIA-942-C Rated 4 standards, which is the highest level in the field of data centers in Vietnam today. This is also the standard applied in large data centers around the world.
MODERN TECHNOLOGY
Digital HUB applies a series of advanced technology solutions:
Liquid cooling (Direct-to-Chip), cold storage system (Ice Tank) help increase performance and reduce power consumption.
Microgrid systems combine renewable energy to meet up to 70% of electricity demand, aiming for Net Zero after 2030.
Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) is <1.3 – among the most energy-efficient centers in the region.
Multi-layer security, 24/7 continuous operation according to international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001...
The Digital HUB ecosystem includes: technical operation areas, AI research areas, administrative areas, resort - sports - green parks, conference centers and especially the area integrating international transmission connections via 3 submarine optical cable lines and 2 North - South backbone cable lines.
