On November 21, 2025, at the headquarters of the Department of Planning and Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City, an important interdisciplinary meeting between the City's departments, branches and sectors and DCH Technology Group Joint Stock Company took place, revolving around the proposal to implement the Digital Hub project in Tan Thanh ward. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Truong Trung Kien - Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Architecture - with the participation of representatives of the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Industry and Trade, the People's Committee of Tan Thanh ward and specialized departments of the Department of Planning and Architecture. This is considered the first official working step between the City and DCH to consider the role, orientation and feasibility of one of the key digital infrastructure projects proposed by the enterprise.

DCH Group presented an overview of the Digital Hub—a next-generation digital infrastructure model that integrates a data center, high-capacity network connectivity, cloud computing clusters, AI infrastructure, big data processing systems, and cloud platforms serving smart city operations. According to DCH, the Digital Hub is positioned as a critical “data transit station” for the southwestern area of Ho Chi Minh City, functioning as a core component of the modern data transmission architecture. It is designed to meet the rapidly growing demands of the digital economy and intelligent operations, significantly improving transmission capacity, reducing latency, optimizing network traffic, and enhancing the load-bearing capability of the city’s digital infrastructure.
Representatives from participating departments affirmed that DCH’s proposal aligns with the city’s digital infrastructure development orientation, high-tech strategy, and broader digital transformation roadmap. The Department of Science and Technology emphasized that the Digital Hub could become a powerful enabler for the innovation ecosystem, serving as core infrastructure for AI research and application programs. The Department of Industry and Trade recognized the project’s potential to strengthen the city’s capacity to support digital enterprises, especially as data, connectivity, and AI are becoming the backbone of modern commerce. The People’s Committee of Tan Thanh Ward expressed strong support and committed to coordinating in land review, planning, and ensuring all necessary conditions for compliant and effective project implementation.
DCH Group reaffirmed its commitment to comprehensive cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City, providing all required documentation, technical reports, and implementation plans. The Digital Hub in Tan Thanh is identified as a strategic component of DCH’s national roadmap for building a modern data infrastructure network, contributing to Vietnam’s aspiration to become a competitive regional center for data storage and processing.
The meeting on November 21, 2025, marked a pivotal starting point for further assessment, refinement, and progression of the Digital Hub into subsequent implementation stages. Amid the accelerating growth of data demand, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, Ho Chi Minh City is positioned to significantly elevate its digital infrastructure capacity and strengthen its standing on the regional technology landscape. If implemented effectively, the Digital Hub in Tan Thanh Ward will become a long-term transformative project, contributing directly to the city’s smart urban development strategy, digital economy expansion, and preparations for the emerging era of data and artificial intelligence.
