Vietnamese Digital Technology Enterprises conquer International markets – Opportunities and challenges
In order to support Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to promote investment, expand markets, and exploit business opportunities in countries and regions around the world, on October 17, 2024, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Information and Communications held the Conference 'Bringing Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to the world - Opportunities and challenges'.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Trieu Minh Long, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Information and Communications, said that currently, Vietnamese digital technology enterprises are strongly reaching out to the world, bringing products, solutions and services "Make in Vietnam" to conquer the international market. Over the past 3 years, the Ministry of Information and Communications has implemented programs to support and promote Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to reach out to the world through conferences, forums, international exhibitions at home and abroad, setting up booths in other countries and connecting enterprises with international partners. These programs have created favorable conditions for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to expand their markets and seek investment and business opportunities abroad.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, in order to promote the development of the digital technology industry to become an economic sector that contributes greatly to the country's economy; to make Vietnam the most favorable environment to nurture and develop digital technology enterprises, the Ministry of Information and Communications is currently drafting the Law on Digital Technology Industry.
The Draft Law on Digital Technology Industry is expected to promote the development of the digital technology industry into an economic sector that contributes greatly to the national economy; making Vietnam the most favorable environment to nurture and develop digital technology enterprises. The draft also aims to promote the smartening of industries by bringing digital technology into and converging industries and fields, changing working methods, bringing new values, and creating a revolution in smartening.
“In addition, the Government also provides certain support for creative startups such as funding, loans and financial support; for the digital technology creative startup ecosystem, there are incubators, startup centers, technology transfer, etc.; organizing competitions, digital technology creative startup support programs, communications, trade promotion, etc. to promote support for digital technology creative startups,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry.

At the conference, Mr. Vu Van Chung, Deputy Director of the Foreign Investment Department, Ministry of Planning and Investment, said that the opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to invest abroad are huge, especially in the field of information technology.
In addition to signing trade and investment agreements, current documents have been adjusted to protect the rights and interests of Vietnamese enterprises when investing and doing business abroad.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Huy, Department of Asian and African Markets, Ministry of Industry and Trade, pointed out opportunities for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises in the ASEAN region with a population of more than 650 million people. This is a dynamic economy and is in the process of strong digital transformation, a "playground" full of potential.
