In Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, DCH (HK) VN.1 Joint Stock Company under DCH Group has just announced the launch of the Digital Hub Data Center construction project. This is expected to be a driving force to promote the digital economic transformation and development strategy for Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province in particular and the whole country in general.
Decision 1629/QD-TTg dated December 16, 2023 on planning for Ba Ria - Vung Tau province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, emphasizes the development of infrastructure, information and communication services to better serve the needs, production and life of people and businesses.
Accordingly, by 2030, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province will basically complete digital transformation, develop smart cities, e-commerce and ensure information security; develop big data infrastructure, artificial intelligence, information technology, telecommunications, etc.
The development of a regional data center (HUB) in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and the formation of a dynamic industrial zone for information technology and digital technology, attracting investment in the production of electrical and electronic products, internet products, and artificial intelligence will contribute to realizing the set goals.
According to the representative of DCH (HK) VN.1 Joint Stock Company, with a total capital of up to 35 trillion VND, the Digital Hub Center is designed according to international standards TIA-942-C Rated 4 - the highest standard currently in Vietnam; will provide huge data storage capacity, meeting the increasing needs of domestic and foreign businesses and financial institutions.
The launch of the Digital HUB project will mark a new step forward for DCH (HK) VN.1 Joint Stock Company in providing modern technology infrastructure; because the project is built and developed based on advanced technologies from the world's leading technology corporations, taking sustainable development as the foundation for investment and operation.
In addition, Digital HUB aims to build a diverse ecosystem to support a strong and advanced information technology infrastructure as a driving force to promote the national digital transformation strategy according to the Government's direction.
DCH (HK) VN.1 Joint Stock Company shared that to meet all the criteria according to ANSI/TIA-942-C Rated 4 standard - the highest level of certification, Digital HUB Data Center must go through many assessment processes, including requirements related to telecommunications, electricity, architecture, and mechanics.
One of the important highlights of Digital HUB is that in addition to creating more than 20 thousand jobs, the project also focuses on attracting foreign experts to work and train high-quality human resources, serving the needs of the project as well as adding to the human resources that meet international standards in this field.
According to calculations, the project, once operational, will contribute 1.6 billion USD to the province's GDP, creating a budget revenue stream of 50 - 100 million USD/year.
The TIA-942-C Rated 4 Digital Hub Data Center is built on an area of 100 hectares, including 5 data center buildings (Data Center Hall), the total capacity of each Data Center Hall is 20MW, the total capacity of all 05 DC Halls is up to 6,000 equipment cabinets (racks) with an average capacity of 15kW/rack.
Total investment of 1.2 billion USD, including 2 main phases:
Phase 1: 2025 – 2028 and Phase 2: 2028 onwards.
